Our Bearcat Pink Out game is approaching quickly. The Football Booster Club is selling shirts. Proceeds will benefit a member of the Bearcat family. Deadline to order this shirt is October 10. While learning about magnets and engineering, Ms. Hallmark’s class enjoyed a STEM lab today. Each student designed and built his or her own magnetic lock out of paper clips, brads, index cards, stickers, and a card-stock paper house. A magnet was used as a “key” to unlock their door.
Don't forget our Fall Festival tomorrow from 6:00-7:30! It has been moved indoors. Games and activities are free and our Odyssey of the Mind will be selling popcorn, cotton candy, and water (cash only). We hope to see you there!

October is Rett Syndrome Awareness and Down Syndrome Awareness Month! BES has friends with Rett Syndrome and Down Syndrome in our classes. Please join us in showing our support for them by wearing purple (Retts 💜) on Monday, Oct. 9th
and blue & yellow (Down Syndrome 💙💛) on Monday, Oct. 16th.

Last month, many BES staff members participated in a "Step Challenge", and we want to commend these staff members for the AMAZING work that they put in last month.
As a group, the participants had over 15 MILLION steps last month! We are so proud of the effort everyone put in and hope they all enjoyed it.
Our winner for the Most Overall Steps AND the Most Steps in One Day was Mrs. Susan Newman. She absolutely blew us away with 30,385 steps in one day and 573,367 steps overall. So incredible!!
Our $300 cash prize winner by random drawing was Mrs Stephanie Burke!
Congratulations to everyone!! In the coming months, we will be extending our love for walking to our students! Look for exciting things to come!
