Brookland Intermediate School update!
The Bearcats are having a great October. Congratulations BHS Girls Tennis on winning the 4A State Championship! Emma Shepard is the 4A Individual girls state champion, and Eli Edens placed 3rd in the boys state championship. Bearcats being bearcats! #bearcatproud
The Glow Run scheduled for October 17th has been canceled due to low participation numbers. Those who have already paid the registration fee will be refunded. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Reminder: School will dismiss at 1:20 pm on Thursday, Oct. 16 for PT Conferences which will be from 2:00-8:00. We will love to see all of our parents and/or guardians attend. We will not be in school Friday, Oct. 17th. This is a calendared day off.

Our high school theatre students recently enjoyed an incredible performance of The Addams Family at the Forum, presented by the Foundation of Arts. Experiences like this help our young artists grow and stay inspired!
The High School Flu Clinic is Oct 28 in the Arena Classroom. Flu shot forms can be picked up from the front office or the nurse. Please fill out the forms prior to the Flu Shot Clinic.
This past Saturday, 36 of our students braved the All-Region audition process and 27 were selected for one of the honor choirs! They have been working on this music since August (some of them, since July) and this year, the music was INCREDIBLY difficult. Currently, 13 of them hold All-State eligibility.

Brookland Odyssey of the Mind World qualifiers teams were recognized at the September Brookland board meeting. The time and effort that these young people and adults put in is truly amazing! #bearcatproud
The trap team lead by Coach Jim Magee was honored at the October Brookland board meeting for their aim Trap Nationals. 5 of these students were single national champions! Their coach teaches them to Aim high!!

Mrs. Paslay’s classes participated in the NEA Fair and submitted an impressive variety of cookies and pies. They brought home 17 first-place 🥇 ribbons, 1 second-place 🥈 ribbon, and even earned Best in Show!
