The Brookland School District will makeup last Friday's snow day as scheduled on our current calendar, Monday, January 20th. All Brookland Schools will be open on Monday, January 20th at their regular time to make up our snow day from Friday, January 10th.

What an incredible accomplishment by Chloe Ellison, who took home 3rd place and $100, as well as the Craftsmanship award at the Bradbury Art Museums Inspired Show. This show is a testament to the artistic abilities of students from NEA schools, who submit their artwork for selection and judging. The show will run until December 17, providing a wonderful opportunity to marvel at the talented work on display. Chloe's remarkable artistic skills, particularly in ceramics, are truly deserving of recognition. If you see her, be sure to extend your warmest congratulations!
On 7 December Brookland JROTC hosted and competed in its annual Brookland Drill Meet. For the first time in the Battalions history the school hosted and competed in Archery. This was the second of three events that determined the winner of the State Raider Championship. The First event was at White Hall High School and the last event will be held at Ft Smith High School. Brookland JROTC has won the first 2 stages and therefore will be the State Champions for the 7th time in 8 years. The Final results were

The Brookland A team won the 4 Mile Ruck/Run by over 4 minutes from its nearest competitor.
Brookland attended the 59th Arkansas Model United Nations Conference over Thanksgiving break, representing Cuba and Palestine. Participants included Brianan Joseph, Caroline Canada, Hudson Kifer, Theron Johnson, and Miley Ferguson; with Ethan Hendrix, Jakob Callis, Madalynn Harrell, and Gabby Varela all winning best delegate awards. Congratulations to these students for a very successful conference.
