Brookland Odyssey of the Mind World qualifiers teams were recognized at the September Brookland board meeting. The time and effort that these young people and adults put in is truly amazing! #bearcatproud

Mrs. Paslay’s classes participated in the NEA Fair and submitted an impressive variety of cookies and pies. They brought home 17 first-place 🥇 ribbons, 1 second-place 🥈 ribbon, and even earned Best in Show!

Today, Nucor visited our campus to speak with students! Emily Crosskno from ANC shared information about the Steel Technology program. We also heard from 2024 Brookland graduate Landon Wren, who is currently in the program and interns with Nucor. Students gained great insights into career opportunities in the steel industry!

Students visited Arkansas State University–Newport’s Jonesboro Campus today for a Career Exploration Camp. They gained hands-on experience and information from IBEW Electrical, the Jonesboro Area Plumbing Apprenticeship, Be Pro Be Proud of Arkansas, the CREST program, and ASUN’s CNC and Manufacturing programs.

The Alumni Game is Saturday, October 11. We will have a homerun contest for kids and adults at 10 and at 11 we will honor long-time Bearcats Baseball Coach Bob Camp for his many years of service and continued dedication to our team. The alumni baseball game will start at noon. For all of you that know and love Coach Camp, don't miss it!

The ROAR of Brookland took home several pieces of hardware on Saturday at the Jonesboro Mid-South Marching Classic. We will continue our competition season on October 18 as we travel to Dyer, Tennessee for the Gibson County Invitational.

The Brookland Trap team is ready for signups for the 2025-26 trap shooting season. This sport is open to students in 6th-12th grade.
There will be a parent/student informational meeting in the high school cafeteria. All interested students MUST attend 1 meeting with a parent/guardian. There are 2 chances to attend: Tuesday, October 28th, 7pm or Thursday, October 30th, 7pm.
Letters with more information are available in Coach Magee's room, or the office of your school.
