Due to the weather, our 2nd grade AR field trip has now been changed. We will no longer go to Miracle League Park but instead will do a half day of play within the classrooms and half day at Brookland Elite Training Center (232 CR 702.) Students will be eating a sack lunch in the classroom at school so please send lunch with your child. If they do not have a lunch, they will be required to get and pay for a sack lunch. Mullins, Elmore, Wallace, Burke, Stone, and Allen will go to ENG/Elite from 9-11 AM . Mealer, Faulkenberry, Baker, Son, Rush, and Hughes will go from 12-2 PM.

USDA Summer Meals for Kids Site Finder USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive on free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed – whether during summer break or unexpected closures during the school year. Through USDA's summer meal programs, approved sites in communities across the country can serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost. Families can use this tool to find directions to nearby meal sites, as well as their hours of operation and contact information. Families seeking food assistance for their children can also contact The USDA National Hunger Hotline, operated by Hunger Free America. The hotline can be reached Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. ET. at 1-866-3-HUNGRY (1-866-348-6479) (for English) or 1-877-8-HAMBRE (1-877-842-6273) (for Spanish).

As we are approaching the final weeks of the school year, we want to inform you that we will not be sending home printed lunch debt notices for the remaining weeks. We will continue to send texts as well as emails as long as we have the updated information in the offices. If you'd like to check the balance due for your child(ren), please contact Wendy Pannell at 870-336-6563 or wpannell@bpsbearcats.com. All debts should be paid before the start of the new school year.
