Brookland Junior High is proud to announce its selection as a Model School at the prestigious 2025 Model Schools Conference taking place in Washington, D.C. June 22-25. Hosted by the Center for Model Schools, this highly anticipated event honors forward-thinking schools that drive transformation, inspire change, and implement groundbreaking strategies to improve student outcomes.

Nine Brookland Junior High School students participated in Arkansas State University's Communication Day: Cooper Adair, Maddox Adams, Arron Dover, Ronald Gonzalez, Mollie Hampton, Katelyn Reed, Lauren Sanders, Amelia Williams, and Cashtan Wilson.
“The main purpose of Communication Day is to expose prospective students to the highly versatile field of communication, including the various majors, careers and employable skills such as one-on-one and group interactions, persuasive argument, debate, social media content management, and digital marketing,” said Dr. Jill Simons, associate dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Communication.
For the second year in a row, Brookland won the Argumentative Essay Competition. This year's writer was Amelia Williams.
Amelia Williams, Cashtan Wilson, Mollie Hampton, and Lauren Sanders also won awards for social media content management and digital marketing.

Arkansas Junior Thespian Thespys:
Caraline Cochran was selected to Showcase at Festival on the 15th. This means that she will be performing for everyone during Closing Ceremonies. One selection is made from each category from all the entries received, and Caraline was chosen for Solo Acting (monologues).

Amelia Williams placed 5th in the 500 free style and 8th in the 100 fly at the 4A-1A State Swimming and Diving Championship Meet Saturday in Russellville!
