
Inductions were held last week for Thespian Troupe 8299;
21 students were inducted into Brookland's Thespian Troupe. This troupe will be competing in the Arkansas One-Act Competition in November with their piece "At the Bottom of Lake Missoula".
A Thespian troupe is an honor society for high school theater students that recognizes and rewards excellence in the theater arts program. Thespian troupes are part of the International Thespian Society (ITS), which is a division of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA)

Juniors and seniors attended a college fair yesterday, where they met representatives from universities and colleges across Arkansas. Students collected a wealth of information about various colleges.

Students in Technical Theatre have been working on making hats or masks out of plastic bags, tape, brown paper towels, and glue.
Conner Johns entered his into the fair and won a Blue Ribbon- Congratulations, Conner!






At the end of school today a threat was reported to administration. The threat was investigated and turned over to the police. Following their investigation an arrest has been made. The investigation is on/going at this time.

This week, Arkansas State University Newport, Arkansas Tech, Black River Tech, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and the University of Central Arkansas visited our campus to speak with juniors and seniors and provide them with valuable information









Due to worsening weather conditions tonight, we will be moving the "Homecoming Procession" to the Arena. Doors will open at 5:45 PM, and the procession will begin promptly at 6:25 PM.
The Junior High Homecoming Court will face the Visitor Side.
The Senior High Homecoming Court will face the Home Side.
The football game will start at 7:00

Dear Parents, Staff, and Students,
Due to the expected bad weather on Friday, we will need to make some adjustments to our Homecoming activities.
Unfortunately, the Student Tailgate will be postponed to a later date. We will share the new date once it has been finalized.
However, the Homecoming Procession will still take place on Friday but with a new start time. It will be held from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM in the arena, with the pep rally to follow immediately afterward.
Homecoming maids will be allowed to leave after the procession concludes.
The Homecoming Football Game Procession will begin at 6:25 pm on the football field. Umbrellas will be provided if it is raining at that time.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we make these changes to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Please stay tuned for further updates regarding the rescheduled Student Tailgate.

Parade Line up for Homecoming Parade on September 27
Line up will begin at 8:30.
Middle school and elementary entries will line up on road south of the middle school.
Junior High entries will line up on the road by the old baseball fields
High school entries will line up on the west side of the track.
If you are lining up on a road, please park as far to the right as possible.
