Kroger has a program called Community Rewards that donates to the Brookland High School Baseball team. If you ever shop at any Kroger, please designate Brookland Bearcat Baseball as your chosen organization, and ask your friends and family to do so as well. This does not reduce any benefit to the individual—they will still continue to get shopping and fuel discounts. It works by connecting Bearcat Baseball to your Kroger shoppers account, then each time you swipe your card or enter your alternate ID, we get a small donation. The more families that participate, the greater will be our eventual donation. You can get more information and sign up here: https://www.kroger.com/i/community/community-rewards. Our organization number is LQ605
Congratulations to Ana Sauceda and Jasmin Reyes for being the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy recipients for the Fall of 2023!!
The Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy is a recognition given to Arkansas High School students around the state who are in grades 9-12th. These students attained proficiency in English and one other language or multiple languages. The students who apply for the AR Seal of Biliteracy must complete exams and endure an application process in which they submit evidence of their proficiency in two or more languages to the State of Arkansas who then awards them based on their abilities. Once being awarded, students can use their Seal of Biliteracy on college applications which sets them apart as well as use them on job applications to show current and future employers and college admissions offices that they are proficient in literacy in two or more languages. Way to go girls!! Felicidades!!

Every year our counseling programs raise money for the Brookland School District Angel Tree Program. The money raised goes directly to Brookland students in need. Last year this fundraiser allowed us to purchase all extra gift items and clothing that sponsors were unable to get, and we were able to provide each Angel Tree family in the district with a basket full of hygiene and household supply items (laundry detergent, shampoo, deodorant, dish soap, etc.)! We want to help these families in a big way again this year! Please help your student's class win the Thankful Turkey Trophy, a pizza party, and help our families in the process!

Football Friday Night
Brookland Public Schools has the opportunity to pilot a new safety feature at the football game tonight, November 3rd. The "Evolv" system is a weapon detection system that scans patrons when they enter Jordan’s Stadium to keep everyone safe. This system will not delay you getting into the game unless you have a weapon on you. Looking forward to enjoying a Bearcat victory! #bearcatproud
