
Braxton Craine competed in an individual based 2-day Trap tournament over spring break where competitors shot 2 full cases of shells (20 boxes, 500 rounds). He broke a total of 480/500 targets to be the HOA winner (High overall score) for the tournament. He won cash prizes as well as a case of shells and medals. Way to go!


Just a heads up that the Home Access Center(HAC) will be down for maintenance and updates at the state level on March 19th-21st next week.


The 2024-25 BPS School Calendar has been officially approved by the BPS School Board and the State Board of Education.


A group of high school students participated a program offered by UAMS called Find Your Future. During the day students learned about Therapy, Pharmacy, Ultrasound, Radiology, Cardiology, and Physician Assistants. Students got to dissect sheep's hearts.








Brookland Trap Team and HS Beta have teamed up to do a fundraiser through Ducks Unlimited. Tickets are $10 each. The drawing will be on March 26th. The tickets enter you for both prizes. We will draw for Prize #1, and then for Prize #2 from the remaining tickets. See someone from the trap team or Beta Club for a ticket, or contact Mr. Magee.


New members of Beta were inducted this morning for the school year 2023-2024. New Beta membership will open up from April to May for the 2024-2025 school year. Please watch the announcements for details. Memberships are open to students that will be in grades 9-12 next year and meet the requirements for Beta. For more information, contact Ms. Awar or Ms. Herring at the high school.


Once again, the Brookland Symphonic Winds earned ALL SUPERIOR and regionals on March 7, 2024 and qualify to compete at State in April. We played the second most challenging program of any school in the region this year and received many personal compliments as well as rave reviews from the judges.

Congratulations to Mason Campbell for being named as a finalist in the Arts Across Arkansas competition. His submission was in Literary Arts. He now moves on to the finals on March 30th in North Little Rock

Congratulations to Allison Griffin on receiving the Directors Award at the NEA Regional Art Show ( this is like the best of show). The show is currently open until March 11 at ASU, Fine Arts Department, Student Gallery.. Allison's artwork will now compete in the Arkansas State Art Show.


Brookland Trap team competed in a tournament Saturday in Harrisburg. This was a "squad scoring event" where 5 shooters compete together for a high overall score. Brookland JR1 squad finished in 2nd place, Brookland SR2 squad finished in 2nd place, and Mason Goodrich shot his first perfect round!

Tonight's High School Baseball game's start time has been moved to 5:15. Go Bearcats!

Brookland Trap Team is having a Chili Supper and Silent Auction this Saturday, March 9th in the high school cafeteria starting at 6:00 pm. The tickets are $10 a person. Please come out and support the Trap Team.


Brookland was asked to create a unified basketball team to play at halftime of the A-state women's game this past Saturday. A unified team consists of athletes of all ability levels. This is our first year to compete in unified sports and the kids have really enjoyed it! We played Greene County Tech High School. Our game was short and they didn't keep score, but we won 4-0 :)

ASU-Newport hosted a Medical Career Exploration Camp last week in conjunction with UAMS. Brookland had 23 students participate. Students sutured pig's feet, gave injections to oranges, and learned more about radiology. Also, St. Bernard's had two representatives come to talk about interview skills and youth volunteer programs.
