Children are mandated, in Arkansas, to receive routine vaccinations that attend a public or a private school.
With less than two weeks before the Brookland Bearcats return, we are urging parents to make sure their children are current with all of their vaccinations.
Students in K-12 are required by the Arkansas Department of Health to receive immunizations for illnesses such as chickenpox, hepatitis A and B, measles and tetanus.
Brookland will begin classes on Wednesday, August 14th and the State of Arkansas does allow a 30-day grace period for vaccines after the start date. That would mean vaccinations must be up to date by Wednesday, September 25th, if they are not currently.
If you are not sure please contact the nurse of the building your child will be attending for the 24-25 school year here in the Brookland School District.
