HOMECOMING DANCE – BROOKLAND BBQ FEST
It will be in the Courtyard following the homecoming game until 11 pm. Wear your boots, hats, and belt buckles and come enjoy the dance floor, games, and a selfie station! Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from Mrs. George, Mrs. Williams, or Mrs. Richey
Homecoming Spirit Links will be sold beginning Monday, September 24, until 11:40 a.m., Friday, September 28. Links are 2 for $1 and may be bought from Mrs. Jones. All proceeds go to Arkansas Children's Hospital. Homecoming points will be awarded based on the amount raised per capita. A class must raise at least $100 to earn any homecoming points.
The JV and 7th-grade games for Monday are canceled.
See You At The Pole is Wednesday morning at 7, meet around the flagpole in front of the high school.
All athletes must have athletic passes to enter games for free. We will begin charging if you do not present it at games.
The annual Mackenzie Beary volleyball game will be September 27 against Valley View. Games start at 4:30 and all STUDENTS GET IN FREE!
A representative from the University of Arkansas will be here Tuesday, Sept. 25th to talk all seniors in the auditorium during 7th period.
Students interested in the mascot program sign up in the high school office
Seniors students at all Northeast Arkansas Schools will be entered to win a new vehicle based on attendance. Each senior student will be given a point per nine weeks of perfect attendance and a point for end of year perfect attendance. The grand prize winner will be awarded a new vehicle from Cavenaugh Kia. The winner will be determined on April 13th, 2018 with a random drawing at Cavenaugh Kia. There will be ten names drawn and each person named will be given a key.
Students can only have their name drawn once as a top ten finalist. One key will open the vehicle. The other 9 students will win $100 cash. Students must be present to win during the giveaway. The winner must also graduate high school. No purchase necessary.
Brookland Special Olympians are selling Bearcat T-shirts. Shirts are only $10, order forms are in the office. The front has Brookland Bearcats. The back has a quote from the movie Wonder. Help Support our Special Olympics Team!
The Drama Department is having an open audition for any male interested in the part of the Prince in Bedtime Stories (As Told By Our Dad) (Who Messed Them Up).
If you are interested, auditions for this part will be held during 7th period on Monday in Mrs. BBrewer's room.

The regular registration deadline for the October 27 ACT is next Friday, September 28. You can sign up at www.act.org or see Ms. Barkley.
Any student interested in participating in Greenway's John Deere Tech or Sales programs, go sign up with Mrs. Campbell. A rep from Greenway will be in the auditorium Wednesday, Oct. 3 during 7th p to meet with these interested students. You must sign up with Mrs. Campbell to go to this!
Brown's Graduation will be here Monday, Oct 1 to present to juniors for rings and returns on Friday, Oct 5 to take orders.
BHS will be giving the PSAT (pre-SAT) on Wednesday, October 10th for any 10th and 11th grader interested. The cost is $16 and due to Ms. Barkley as soon as possible! There are only 30 spots available, first to pay get the spots!
Mrs. McClung will be taking students on a field trip on Tuesday, October 9th, to the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library to meet the author, Jeff Zentner. If you are in grades 10-12, and you are interested in going on this field trip, please see Mrs. McClung to sign-up for this event and get a permission slip. Space is very limited, so sign up ASAP.
Students interested in bowling this year need to come by the office and sign up. Practice will start in Oct.

ROTC is selling Dog Tags. $10 a set. Students can put anything they want on the Dog tags limited to 3 lines and 20 characters. Order forms are in the JROTC office.
